Language and meaning of flowers
Each flower have a meaning. The language of flowers was developed especially in the Victorian era, when flowers were sent to communicate a feeling or a message in a less obvious manner.
Roses
Red roses signifies true love, white roses signify eternal love, peace and innocence.
Yellow roses transmitted platonic friendship or love and pink roses signify grace.
Tulips
Red tulips transmitted a statement of love, while yellow - a declaration of love without hope.
Orchids
Orchids are used since antiquity to symbolize seduction. In ancient Greece Orchid is a symbol of manliness and Chinese thought that orchids have various curative properties, using them to protect against diseases.
Lilies
An expresive flower - has very different meanings depending on color. White lily signifies purity and the pink version transmits a message of prosperity.
Alstroemeria or Peruvian Lily
Alstroemeria is a flower with a spectacular color, like a miniature lily is a symbol of friendship and devotion, can be offered along with other flowers or bouquets just with Alstroemeria.
Carnations
Some of the older flowers, carnations symbolize fascination in general and even love. White carnations are used to express purity and good fortune and the red for affection and love.
